It's been a busy winter for snow removal and it's no different for city crews.  Their efforts to keep up with the snow and ice on our streets has been greatly appreciated.

In an effort to keep our roadways clean, they've been going back to some problem areas as they can.  One of those areas is the viaduct on 21st Street in Superior that crosses the train yard between downtown and Billings Park.

The City of Superior is alerting drivers that snow removal efforts will temporarily close the 21st Street Viaduct on Friday, March 1 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM.  Crews with the Public Works Department will be on the site, clearing away the compacted snow that builds up along the railings - not to mention on the road surface itself.

The work isn't expected to last outside of the projected timeline; however, it will affect the morning commute.  Drivers who usually use 21st Street will need to find an alternative route on Friday morning.
