On this day in 1974 Al Green was in soaking in his bathtub. He asked his girlfireind to warm up some grits on the stove as he'd like some after his soak. She had heard rumblings of Al's faithfulness, and questioned him about it. He brushed it off as nonsense, one thing led to another, and as he got out of the tub, she poured the hot grits over him. later, she was so remorseful, she committed suicide.
