Wisconsin Mayor In Drinking Scandal Loses Recall Vote

You might have seen the Mayor on 60 Minutes I believe it was, a few months back. Living in Wisconsin, I was naturally interested.  As I listened to him respond to the interviewers questions, I sensed some sincerity

The Rolling Stones’ Ronnie Wood Says: ‘We’re On The Verge Of Touring’

As I  predicted in early March of 2011, the Stones will hit the road this year with a 50 year anniversary tour. I also predicted this will be the last official tour for the Rolling Stones, and I stand by that

Birth Of The Gibson Flying V Guitar

On February 21, 1958, the first Gibson Flying V guitar was shipped from a factory in 1958. Although the Flying V eventually became  a staple with many  rock n roll bands, things didn't start out all that well. Sal

Netflix Changes Business Models … Again

At one time I had a Netflix account and loved it. Then they changed their plans & prices and I lowered my subscription. They then changed their plan once more, and I quit Netflix altogether. They have no idea where they're going, and I'd rather not be riding the bus with Netflix driving.

Footage Shows Rolling Stones Murder At Altamont [VIDEO]

I remember vividly the picture in my mind of Charlie Watts (rolling stones drummer) and Mick Jagger carefully reviewing the movie footage of Meredith Hunter being stabbed to death at Altamont.  Alan Pasaro was charged with homicide but later acquitted even though one could clearly see him stabbing Baxter with a knife.

Bathing And Pie Are Killing Our Young People

I'm always amazed when I talk to an older person. They are like a talking encyclopedia. Stop and think about all the things they've lived through. Ask them about the wars, tough times, radio shows, presidents, jobs, cars, ..just about anything, and you'll get an ear full. Ask about their longevity though and their answer might surprise you.

The History of The Cigar Box Guitar [VIDEO]

I have a sign in my office. It says, "Music is my Life". That's the truth as I've devoted the majority of  my time to music, musicians, and the promotion of music.  I've come across some pretty unusual guitars in my time. Even a few custom made for the artist.

Lost Graves of Slaves

I once got a tour of a cemetery, and as  he manager showed me around, he  pointed out several monuments of noteworthy people of the community, giving a brief history of individuals lives etc. I pointed to an unmarked section and asked him if that was for future development. He told me there were already thousands of burials already there, all unmarked, from the Spanish Flue epidemic of years ago. People were dieing   faster than they could be individually buried, so they were simply  put in a mass grave. I asked about identification, and as I understand it, records were sketchy, some records were left, but not many. I have that picture in my minds eye to this day. I feel the same way about this post. With advancement in technology, hopefully identification of all can be made, and relatives notified.

Spotify App Doubles Streaming Quality

This is great news for Spotify users, I being one of them. I thought the quality  was really good before, but now it's doubled, and, they have not increased the price. I became a Spotify member when it first came to America, and love it to death. Spotify is the future of music for the masses in my opinion. The days of "ownership" are fast coming to an end, much the same as the cd, cassettes, 8 track, and even vinyl. Try it for free on their site...it was great and now it's even better.
