Vikings Punter Chris Kluwe Poses For Out Magazine

Minnesota Vikings outspoken punter has again opened his mouth for a cause he believes in and backed it up by posing for OUT magazine. He has been outspoken for same sex marriage and has challenged Minnesota lawmakers to a debate.

He spoke to CNN recently and talked about how gay Americans can serve their country in the military and come home and not get the same coverage and enjoy the same protections as other americans. He had this to say to deadspin magazine:

I can assure you that gay people getting married will have zero effect on your life. They won't come into your house and steal your children ... They won't even overthrow the government in an orgy of hedonistic debauchery because all of a sudden they have the same legal rights as the other 90 percent of our population—rights like Social Security benefits, child care tax credits, Family and Medical Leave to take care of loved ones, and COBRA healthcare for spouses and children. You know what having these rights will make gays? Full-fledged American citizens just like everyone else, with the freedom to pursue happiness and all that entails. Do the civil-rights struggles of the past 200 years mean absolutely nothing to you?

Kluwe has always been loud about what he believes in and I respect that. He plays at the top of his ablity and speaks his mind. I also know he gives of his time and money to who he believes in. A stand up guy that backs up his opinions. Thanks Chris.
