A few years ago the NFL released a 3 song EP and asked Sammy Hagar to write a song for the NFL.

He enlisted his bandmate from Chickenfoot, Joe Satriani, and Kid Rock. Sammy had hoped that it would become one of the theme songs used on Sundays or Mondays for that matter. The NFL never used it, but promoted it.

Every time Sammy performs it he adds extra lyrics and has even added some lyrics for the 49ers. I will tell you why later.

Since it went nowhere, Sammy included it on a Sammy Hagar and Friends cd with artists like Nancy Wilson of Heart, Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Toby Keith, Neal Schon of Journey and others as guests. It was also the album that brought back Mike Anthony from Van Halen and was the record that saw the end of Chickenfoot and started the Circle.

I would like to see this as the Sunday night football theme, how about you?

Sammy Hagar is also a San Francisco Fan. Here's my proof.
