The Duluth Trading Company is being sued by an Eagle.  Make that an ex-Eagle.

Don Henley - the former lead singer of the 70's rock group the Eagles - has filed paperwork claiming that a recent ad campaign used by the Wisconsin-based company infringes on his likeness.

The campaign centers around a phrase that says "Don a henley and take it easy".  There's only one problem:  Don Henley didn't write the song - Jackson Browne did with another former Eagle Glen Frey.  But, that doesn't matter to Henley, who postulates that an average person would confuse the issue and assume that he is endorsing the Duluth Trading Company's product line.

Usually protective of their own creative works, the Eagles are notorious for never having let their work be used in projects other than their own.  While the advertising world is filled with classic rock songs and likenesses, no product has ever seen an Eagles-related song used in conjunction with it.

The lawyers will sort this one out.
