From Parker McCollum to Lainey Wilson, there are several newcomers are finding a lot of success on the country music charts. There's no reason that Rafe Carlson, a 2017 Hermantown High School graduate, can't do the same.

Rafe grew up in the Northland in a family full of talented musicians so it was only natural that he would eagerly go down that path. He began playing guitar at age 14 and was a quick study. He then turned his attention to composing as well and it's become a favorite outlet of his.

His musical influences have always been diverse, but country is where his roots truly are. He's found the country music industry to be very positive by providing opportunities to play while also allowing him to continue to grow as a songwriter.

While growing up in the area, Rafe played everywhere he could throughout the region. Gaining that experience was not only a lot of fun, but it eventually led to him making several fantastic contacts within the industry.

Things kept moving for him from there as he to got work on his first single, 'Lost and Found', which was produced by Nashville great Jeff Huskins who is a member of the band Little Texas. Give the guitar-driven song a listen below.

Now that the song has been released, Rafe is ready to release more and hit the road to perform. There are already plans in place to return to Nashville later this month for a club tour, including a showcase on September 21 at Live Oak.

You can get to know Rafe even better when he joins Ken and Lauren on The B105 Breakfast Club on Thursday, August 19 at 7:00 a.m. He will share his experiences in the music industry, play a little and be a part of the show.
