Air Supply Adds Minnesota Concert Date To 2023 Tour, Coming To Mystic Lake In February

One of the most iconic artists from the 1980's is coming to a concert venue in Minnesota as part of their current tour.  Air Supply has announced that they have added a stop at Mystic Lake Casino in Prior Lake on February 3, 2023 for an 8:00 PM show.

Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, October 28.

With humble beginnings in their native Australia, the group - fronted by Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock - got their first taste of the North American music scene with a late-1970's tour as openers for Rod Stewart.  The success of those concert dates led to a contract with Arista records and the rest - as they say - is history.

Out of the gate, Air Supply racked up hits that came to define 1980's pop music - especially in soft rock (or what some might call "Yacht Rock" today).  From 1980 though 1986, the group scored 14 hit singles on the Billboard pop charts, with eight of those going Top 5.  Their 1981 release "The One That You Love" went all the way to number one.  They also scored three number-one singles on Billboard Adult Contemporary chart.  Worldwide, the group sold more than 20 million albums.

They even spent some time on television. In addition to (what became) the standard issue music videos for MTV, the group hosted numerous TV specials and even sub-hosted the iconic 80's show Solid Gold for a while when the regular host Andy Gibb was fired over personal problems.
