1.1 Million U.S. Households Don’t Have A Toilet; Worldwide 949 Million Don’t Have Indoor Plumbing

Here's a factoid that will make you say "what!":  More than 1.1-million people in the United States don't have a toilet in their homes.  Of the 50 states, Alaska garners the title as the state with the highest number of people who don't use a toilet;  12-percent of Alaskans utilize an outhouse when nature calls.

Worldwide, the largest number of people without modern indoor plumbing is in the sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia.
