Hermantown High School was evacuated Thursday morning (March 31) following the discovery of a message left on a staff member's office phone that there was a threat to the building.

An intense scene played out in the parking lot of the Hermantown Walmart Tuesday afternoon as police apprehended an individual at gunpoint from a vehicle.

The Hermantown Hawks punched their ticket to another State Class A Championship after a convincing 7-1 win over St. Paul Academy. The Hawks scored first, with Ryan Sandelin tallying the goal. St. Paul Academy tied the game up midway through the opening period, and the Hawks didn't look back from there...

The Duluth Police has been very successful in asking those on social media to help them locate suspects that are wanted;  that's why they're asking for your help again.

Expect delays and lane restrictions on Central Entrance near Walmart beginning Tuesday, September 8.  Crews from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a project on that stretch of Highway 53 that will bring improvements to the roadway.

Rhonda Grussendorf Tomlin hosted a dream night for three girls trying to be the 2015 Miss Hermantown. As Rhonda says, this is the starting point for these young women. Each girl gave a speech, showed a talent, and also had to answer a question from the judges.

Crews with the City of Duluth will be performing repairs on utility services along Arrowhead Road, July 6 - July 10.  The work will primarily impact the area between Carver Avenue and Columbus Avenue.
