Hermantown High School was evacuated Thursday morning (March 31) following the discovery of a message left on a staff member's office phone that there was a threat to the building.

A Facebook message from the school's official page explains that once the message was discovered, school administrators quickly acted to evacuate the building and conduct a search. Students and staff were outside and away from the building from roughly 8:25 am to 8:45 am while the building was searched. After the search found nothing suspicious, students and staff were let inside the building.

Hermantown Police and school staff members continue to be on the lookout and efforts are being made to trace the phone call.
