A project to repair railroad crossings will impact drivers who use Railroad Street in Duluth for a two-week period.  Officials with the Minnesota Department of Transportation are alerting the general public about the closure - which is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 30.  The closure will only occur during the weekdays.

During the closure, track crews with the BNSF Railroad will work on the existing railroad crossings along Railroad Street - between Garfield Avenue and 5th Avenue West.   No detour will be posted; drivers are expected to find their own alternative routes around the closed area.

Work on this project will only occur during the week, so the street will re-open for traffic on Saturday and Sunday, October 5 and October 6 - closing again on Monday, October 7 until the work is complete.
