New Lay’s Potato Chip Flavor Review: Creamy Bacon Potato Salad

Recently while shopping, the new Lay's Potato Chip flavor caught my eye and I just had to give it a try.  I usually do try the new flavors because they sound good and most of the time I am disappointed.  This time, not so much.

I am a Sour Cream and Onion flavored fan, always have been and even with all the new flavors being introduced, probably always will be.  We ran across one of the newest flavors Creamy Bacon Potato Salad and that sounded good.  Almost opened them in the car!

Before I begin my review I do have to say that Lay's is my go-to brand so these chips had that going for them in the first place.  When I was young, Lay's was a luxury, my mom usually went the generic brand route to save money (and because she didn't eat them).  You know, the black and white box with two individual bags in it that just said POTATO CHIPS on the outside.  They should have added TASTELESS to the title and that would have been more accurate.  Can you relate?

My review:  As always, the crunch and size of chip were perfect.  As for flavor, I was amazed at the fact that I could actually distinguish each flavor of the bacon potato salad.  I'm not kidding!  I could taste the onion, the celery, the bacon all together with the creaminess.  Not bad, not my favorite, but adequate to compliment a sandwich.  My favorite is still Lay's Sour Cream and Onion.
