Life House has teamed up with The Rambler Food Truck for a Supply Drive starting Thursday October 29 starting at 11am. With colder weather upon us they are in desperate need of warm winter jackets, hats, boots etc. plus hygiene products like toothpaste, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, razors. The Rambler Food truck will be on site as well with free food given away while supplies last.

Many of us have probably driven past the Life House building a number of times but do you know what they are all about? They have been helping homeless kids in the area since 1991 and with out them the future for many of these kids would be unknown. Life House is a safe place where all their needs are provided for, and all are accepted and  given the guidance to help them live a happy and healthy life.

A place like Life House is so important when you think about the circumstances that some of these kids go through whether they were kicked out of there homes or felt that had to leave for their own safety. But Life House is more than a drop in center for kids to get inside and out of the weather and have a warm meal.

The staff at Life House have an intensive intake survey to help evaluate what the childs needs are and also help with placement. Not only does Life House help provide housing they offer mental health and wellness services, help with education and employment and also help displaced young families too.

If you would like to help please go through your closet and bag up any items of clothing you do not wear anymore, or if you feel so inclined purchase a new jacket or clothing item. Obviously any hygiene products need to be new and unopened. Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who work so tirelessly to help these kids and young adults giving them a second chance.
