Where Are Your Favorite Runners, Verizon Wireless Allows You Track Them In Garry Bjorklund Half and Grandma’s Full Marathon

Wondering if your family member or friend are still going, or if they are pulling a personal best time. Verizon Wireless is allowing you to track up to 6 runners in the the Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon or Grandma's Marathon for free.

The service was started on June 1st all you have to do is connect with the page, put in the information about your runner and then on race day you will get the updates via text or email, what ever you choose. The tracking system is made possible through the support of Verizon Wireless, let's you track your runner through different checkpoints while letting you know by a chip on their shoe. Every time they cross a check point the system sends it back and then lets you know where that runner is.

This is the eighth year that Verizon Wireless is sponsoring runner tracking via text messaging and email. This tracking technology is a joint effort between Grandma’s Marathon, Verizon Wireless, Mtec Results and RacePartner.
