Grandma’s Marathon’s Wednesday Night At The Races Moves To Hermantown

The Young Athelete's Foundation and Grandma's Marathon bring you another week of Wednesday Night at the Races. The next installment will be in Hermantown at the High School. The races are for kids 14 and under.

Wednesday Night at the Races continue through August 26. Registration is between 5:00 p.m. and 5:50 p.m. each race night, and the races begin at 6 p.m and are FREE.  Wheelchair participants are encouraged to get in on the fun.

Hermantown High School track located at 4335 Hawk Circle Drive in Hermantown. Once the racing is done there are weekly prize drawings too!

Here are the rest of the season races:

August 19 – Hermantown High School Track, 4335 Hawk Circle Drive

August 26 – Park Point, near the Beach House (followed by year-end picnic provided by Green Mill)

Kids are split into groups according to their age. Age groups and distances are as follows:

Courage Duluth wheelchair division – 1/8 mile

4 & under – 1/8 mile

5 & 6 years old – 1/8 mile

7 & 8 years old – 1/4 mile

9 & 10 years old – 1/4 mile

11 & 12 years old – 1/2 mile

13 & 14 years old – 1/2 mile

Bring the kids and have fun, maybe they will run Grandma's Marathon one day. I caught the bug for running, this is a great way to see if they would enjoy cross country running or track and field.
