August 16, 2015 will mark 38 years since Elvis Presley passed away.  As they always do, the Presley Estate will mark the occasion with Elvis Presley Week - happening August 8 through 16 this tear - and filled with events tailored to highlight his life and career.  This year they've joined forces with the United States Postal Service to commemorate the King of Rock and Roll with a new postage stamp and CD.

Priscilla Presley will join the Postmaster General Mehan Brennan on August 12 at Graceland to officially release the stamp and music to the general public.

The stamp features a black and white photo that was taken in 1955 by William Speer.  The image presents an iconic vision of Elvis as he looked at the beginning of his career.  Billed as a "forever" stamp, it would be valid as U.S. postage forever.

The CD album is a joint effort with RCA Records called "Elvis Forever".  The album featured 18 songs including a never-before-heard version of the song "If I Can Dream".
