Watch Foo Fighters Cover AC/DC’s ‘Let There Be Rock,’ Plus News on The Damned, Hatebreed + More

- Foo Fighters do love their covers, and the band recently dropped by the BBC Live Lounge for a scorching rendition of AC/DC's "Let There Be Rock." Watch Dave Grohl wail in the clip above.
- The Damned are ready to add to their musical legacy. The group just posted an update revealing that they will enter the studio in October to start work on their first album in nearly a decade. Tony Visconti will produce with Kevin Killen engineering. However, they've also revealed that longtime bassist Stu West will not be a part of the recording, but '80s-era bassist Paul Gray is returning to the fold.
- As if Hatebreed's fall dates celebrating the anniversaries of the Desire and Perseverance albums weren't cool enough, the band has just announced their support for the run. Kublai Khan and Shattered Sun will open the Oct. 26 and 27 shows. Dying Fetus, Code Orange and Twitching Tongues will play Nov. 22 through Dec. 9. Candiria will take over for Code Orange Nov. 22 in Cleveland, and Code Orange will also miss the Dec. 2 and 8 shows in Cleveland and New Haven. Tickets can be purchased here.
- Ensiferum continue to roll out new music in the lead up to their Two Paths album. Take a listen to the speedy rocker "King of Storms" here ahead of Friday's album release.
- Gilby Clarke revealed in an interview with The Cornwall Seeker that he has completed recording a new studio album. Clarke revealed that Nikki Sixx made a guest turn on disc. Earlier this year, Clarke revealed to us that Kenny Aronoff, Stephen Perkins, EJ Curse, Troy Patrick Farrell and Sean McNabb were also part of the still untitled album.
- Death are readying a deluxe vinyl reissue of their Individual Thought Patterns album. The classic Death disc will be available on Oct. 20. For more details and to pre-order, head here.
- At last year's Morsefest in Nashville, the original lineup of Spock's Beard teamed up to perform the double-disc concept album Snow. Now that performance is ready to be shared in CD, DVD and Blu Ray formats. You can order the set here and see a trailer here. It'll be available Nov. 10 via Radiant / Metal Blade Records.
- Wait, what? The folk rock outfit The Avett Brothers have carved out a solid career in their genre, but did you know they have a metal history?
