UW-Superior Holds Inaugural “Jacket Racket” With Fun Activities Starting Today
UW-Superior is hosting the inaugural "Jacket Racket" event today thru Saturday. Activities are centered around a homecoming kind of concept and are geared for the campus community and alumni to celebrate school spirit. Highlights of the three days of events include a Nearly Naked Mile fun run with clothing donations tomorrow, tailgate party before the first men’s hockey game, and a Union Bash for students. One lucky student could also win free tuition for participating in the events.

TODAY NOVEMBER 7TH
- ‘JACKET JAM, 7 p.m. at Mertz Mortorelli Gym at Marcovich Wellness Center. Men’s and women’s Yellowjacket basketball players participate in skills competitions, scrimmages, three-point shootout, and a slam dunk contest. Free and open to the public.
FRIDAY, NOV. 8
- Nearly Naked Mile, 5 p.m., starts and ends at the Marcovich Wellness Center. Free run on the UW-Superior campus with donation of excess clothing to Goodwill.
- Wessman Arena Tailgate Party, 5:30 – 7 p.m. at Wessman Arena
- Men’s Hockey Game vs. St. John’s University, 7 p.m., Wessman Arena
- Late Night Skate – following the game, Wessman Arena
SATURDAY, NOV. 9
- Student Pep Fest and 10th Year Birthday Party, 5-7 p.m, Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium at Marcovich Wellness Center
- Men’s Hockey Game vs. Concordia College, 7 p.m., Wessman Arena
- Union Bash, 8 p.m. – 12 a.m., Yellowjacket Union. Student party with dance competition, mechanical bull, oxygen bar and more.
