The University of Wisconsin Superior announced on June 11, 2021 that they have re-opened to the Superior community. The center had been closed to the public due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now that a return to normalcy is occurring with rising vaccinations and lowering case numbers, they have opened the wellness center back to the public.

UWS has also updated their policies for COVID-19 safety protocol. They have posted the information with links and resources to help keep students, faculty, and visitors safe. 

The Marcovich Wellness Center was built back in 2003. It's a 115,000 square foot building that has a field house. It also has a NCAA regulation size indoor track where they can host meets. The center also has fitness, weight rooms, an indoor climbing wall, swimming pool, four racquetball courts, aerobics and dance studio, locker rooms, classrooms, and meeting rooms. The center is open 6am-7pm on Monday through Friday. It's open 10am-4pm on Saturdays.

The field house that is inside the Marcovich Wellness center also has batting cages, a 200 meter track, tennis courts, and four basketball and volleyball courts. The Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium on campus also has three more basketball courts, with additional volleyball courts and badminton courts.

The Marcovich Wellness Center is located on campus at 1810 Catlin Ave in Superior, Wisconsin.
