USA Curling Senior Women And Men In First Place At World Championships
Norma O’Leary and the rest of the Women's team got another victory over Italy 7 to 3 to stay unbeaten at 3-0 in Karlstad, Sweden, at the 2016 World Senior Curling Championships, and The Men's team is fairing just as well beating the Czech Republic 7 to 2 to also go unbeaten at 3-0.Norma O’Leary’s team is made up of mostly Duluth women from the Duluth Curling Club, including Linda Christensen, Mary Shields, Lucy DeVore of Superior and Shelley Dropkin of Massachusetts.
The U.S. men featuring Phil DeVore of Superior who curls at the Duluth Curling Club, didn’t have a last-rock advantage, but stole points in the first two ends to seize control.
The U.S. men take on Latvia today while the women face Switzerland. USA Curling has the full schedule posted on their website.
