Tower Avenue To Reopen This Afternoon; Summer-Long Project Comes To Completion

Tower Avenue is set to reopen this afternoon!  Chris Ouellette - the Regional Communication Manager for the Wisconsin Department of Transportation-Northwest Regionhas announced that the project will be complete and the roadway will be ready for traffic later this afternoon.

Work on the $14-million project began on April 15.

While the roadway will be open to traffic, there are still some finishing details that need to be attended to.  Crews will continue to work on other aspects of the project outside of the driving lanes in the next few weeks.

According to WISDOT, drivers will notice the following new features:  New parking, sidewalk, street lighting, a new storm sewer, raised medians, and an overall new roadway configuration.
