A new owner in Duluth, WDSE•WRPT came to an agreement with the University of Minnesota Duluth to purchase UMD's radio station, KUMD 103.3 FM. From now on the station will be known as "The North 103.3 FM".
From time to time we get requests to visit the radio stations here at Townsquaremedia from Boy and Girl scouts. Our latest visitors were a lovely group of Girls that had a mission of doing a Girl Scout ad for the radio and tour our stations.
Rayman and KOOL 101.7 have gone together like peanut butter and jelly since the station first launched 20 years ago. As Ray would put it though, "This jam has got to spread, baby!" After two decades of playing the Northland's favorite hits, Rayman has decided to hang up his headphones.

I had the pleasure of Talking with Duluth Mayor Don Ness, He was kind enough to call into the morning show and talk about the state of Duluth on Thursday. I just want to personally thank the Mayor, he could have said he was too busy and I would have understood, but he made the time to call in and talk.
