February 17th is the next Polar Plunge, and this year it's a little different. If you have wanted to be a part of the whole party but really didn't want to jump in the water, well then you can join or start a team. When you are signing up, choose the "Too Chicken To Jump" category.
The Polar Plunge got under way this morning with people jumping in cold Lake Superior. The weather was great and made it more fun to jump into the water. People showed up in costumes and jumped for their office and friends or just to get the free t-shirt. This year the top earner was again Brandon Moe, raising just over $14,000.
This is the first time I will be taking part in the Duluth Polar Plunge, and I'm pretty excited! This year's plunge is coming up on February 20, and and I'd love if you'd join my team, "KOOL as Ice".
