As part of the evolving efforts to confront the COVID-19 Pandemic, the City of Superior is cancelling the annual spring cleanup and postponing the scheduled free landfill days.  In a post to his social media site, Superior Mayor Jim Paine made the annoucement that the 2020 Spring Cleanup - which was scheduled to happen April 27 - May 22 has been cancelled for this year.  At the same time, he announced that the free landfill days have been postponed, with new dates of May 30 and June 6.

In lieu of the spring cleanup this year, Paine urged residents to break up any extra trash that they may have and try to utilize their normal garbage receptacle.  In the comments of the post, the mayor was questioned about the annual brush pickup that was also scheduled to happen April 27 - June 1 - confirming that this event was still planned to go on as scheduled.
