Now that Thanksgiving is over, you are probably thinking about putting up your Christmas tree or going out and getting one! A popular fundraiser is back this year and if you're in need of a tree, you can get one for a good cause.

Like so many other fundraisers held throughout the year, this particular fundraiser for St. Jude is put on by Harold and family in the Wrenshall and Carlton area. The family holds several fundraisers for the cause each year and to this day, has raised nearly half a million dollars and counting.

The most famous is Harold's Golf Fiasco, which is a golf scramble and silent auction. It takes place in August and is the perfect excuse to get a nice round of golf in while giving back to a cause close to our hearts.

Other fundraising events held by the family include their annual Flippin' Flapjack Fiasco, which is a delicious pancake breakfast, and Harold's Hogfest, which is a delicious pulled pork lunch and dinner event. I am hungry just thinking about it!

The family always closes out the year with yet another fundraiser in the spirit of Christmas and giving back! They offer Christmas trees for free, just asking for a donation of your choosing to St. Jude.

If you are interested, you can go snag a tree kiddy corner to 3030 Highway 23 in Wrenshall. You do need to cut your own tree and can make it a family event! You can leave your donation on site or at Harold's Service in Carlton. You can also get a tree at Harold's Service, located at 309 3rd Street.

If you have any questions, you can reach out to Tara at 218-348-4492. You will see a sign that mentions St. Jude and that is how you will know that you are in the right place! This is the perfect way to get into the Christmas spirit: giving back to the kids at St. Jude.

In case you didn't know, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital helps kids battling cancer and other life-threatening diseases. The money raised for St. Jude makes sure that no family gets a bill for treatment, housing and care while their kids are battling cancer.
