The last day of Spring 2016 felt more like a late summer day, with sweltering heat and humidity and severe thunderstorms taking center stage in Minnesota on Sunday night. Those storms brought with them hail up to baseball-size in some areas and even spawned a couple tornadoes through the state.

‎Among the tornadoes and possible tornadoes through the state was one east of Grand Rapids. Brittney Gilchrist captured video of a tornado and funnel cloud near Grand Rapids yesterday around 6:30 pm (seen below). Storm reports for this same storm say that a handful of buildings were damaged between Jacobson and Swan River. Twin Ports area storm reports included golf ball-sized hail near Carlton and Wrenshall Sunday night.
