Park Point Sand Modeling Expo Is July 18th

How good are you at creating the perfect castle for your king? You might find the Park Point Sand Modeling Contest & Water Expo the perfect day.

Bring your shovels, pails and creativity to build a work of art in the sand from 10am-1:00pm. Judging the art will begin at 1:00pm. Prizes will be given in several categories. The Duluth Area YMCA will also engage in a variety of fun outdoor activities.

When: Thursday, July 18th, 2019 from 10:00am-3:00pm
Where: Park Point Beach - 5000 Minnesota Avenue
This free public event will be held at the Park Point Beach House, at the end of Park Point, from 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department will hold the Annual Park Point Sand Modeling Contest/Summer Beach Bash and Water Safety Expo Thursday, July 19. Families and kids of all ages are welcome to participate in the sand modeling contest, a variety of games, there will be live DJ music, and several demonstrations on safety topics such as throw rings, life jackets, weather safety and rip currents.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their own beach blankets, sand modeling supplies like shovels, pails, and whatever you need and don't forget the sunscreen.
