The second year of work on the Oliver Bridge is almost a month in this summer and officials with the CN Railroad and Douglas County have updates.  According to information released by the railroad, work is progressing nicely.  Crews have delivered the first round of timber panels for the upper railroad deck part of the bridge - with more to come.

The daytime (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM) daily closures will continue into the fall - with the bridge remaining open on certain days in conjunction with holidays and festivals.  The first of those "open" dates will occur around the upcoming Memorial Day weekend.  On Friday, May 26 the bridge will re-open at 12 Noon and remain open throughout the weekend - including the Monday holiday.
