Miners have always had it tough, but in 1916 women played a key role in the strike the miners had. Megan Marsnik researched the history of the strike and found women played a huge role and even wrote about it in her book called "Underground".

Megan will talk about her book and some of the information she discovered while researching this historic strike.  Megan Marsnik, originally from Biwabik,  frequently presents the significance of women in local and national labor history. She will also read passages from her book and highlight actual events and people who provided inspiration for her writing.

The event will be held on Thursday August 20th at noon, in the Underground at the Depot, there will be free coffee and it's free to the public. Seating is first come first served.
