Stephen Mulholland, co-owner and Field Director of Duluth Archaeology Center, has worked in archaeology throughout Minnesota since 1982. His work includes many important archaeological sites in St. Louis County. In 2002, he received a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Archaeological Studies from the University of Minnesota. He is the next speaker for "Lunch With The History People".

Stephen will present “Archaeology in St. Louis County: 30 Plus Years of Exploration and Adventure.” His lecture analyzes the changes of archaeological history in this region and incorporates archaeological sites from St. Louis County. He will strive to discount the belief “that there is little to no prehistory in our area.” Listen to the interview below and hear some of the things they have discovered.

The event will be held in the Underground on the first floor of the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot), at 506 West Michigan Street, Duluth, Minnesota. He will have a powerpoint presentation to show and some artifacts. He will be speaking and answering questions.

There will be limited theater-style seating (no tables), but feel free to bring your own bag lunch. Seating is first-come, first-served (no reservations). Admittance to this event is free to the public. ARCO coffee is provided.
