I-35 + Hwy 2 – Bong Bridge – Ramp Closures, Sept 24-26

Preventative maintenance will temporarily close some of the ramps associated with I-35 and Highway 2 at the Bong Bridge Tuesday through Thursday, September 24 through September 26.  The maintenance is part of the Minnesota Department of Transportation's annual road work in the area.

The closures will be primarily daytime  - from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM so as to not affect the busy morning and afternoon commutes.  They'll also be staggered among the dates - as follows:

• Tuesday, September 24 - will bring a daytime closure to the northbound I-35 to eastbound Highway 2 ramp
• Wednesday, September 25 - will bring a daytime closure to the southbound I-35 to eastbound Highway 2 ramp
• Thursday, September 26  - will bring a daytime closure to the westbound Highway 2 to northbound I-35 ramp

As with any project carried out by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, signed detours will be in place to help drivers navigate the closures.  MNDOT asks that drivers use extra caution in work zones to provide for the safety of the road crews.
