With the changing season, many are starting to think about those cold winter months ahead and the rising energy bills.  In an effort to help customers use less energy, officials with Comfort Systems and the City of Duluth are presenting tips at their booth during the Harvest Fest at Bayfront Festival Park, Saturday, September 12.

From 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, staff will be on hand to offer useful ides that the general public can turn into energy savings.

Visitors to the booth can go home with some freebies as well.

Comfort Systems will be giving away free temperature gauge cards that check the temperature on water heaters. Even the simple step of reducing your water heater temperature to 120 degrees (F) can help save energy. Energy kits will also be given out to customers by Ecolibrium3 for completing the “energy obstacle course.” The kits will have four energy conservation items, donated by Comfort Systems and MN Power, such as a furnace filter whistle, hot water temperature gauge card, low flow shower head, and bath faucet (1 gallon per minute) aerator.

The 22nd annual Harvest Fest is free of change and will happen rain or shine in Bayfront Festival Park.
