It looks like Guy Fieri loves us here in the Northland! He loves one brand even more, apparently.

The folks over at Duluth Pack posted something really exciting on their Facebook page on Wednesday (February 10th): the Food Network star posing with one of their items!

In the photo, he's spotted holding up one of their popular backpacks. By the looks of it, the celebrity also added "this pack is the real deal" on the photo. Wow! I absolutely love Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives so this is a pretty cool connection.

Upon further research, it looks like it is one of their "Wanderer" packs. I guess we know where we can find the celebrity if he ever comes back into town. Take a look at the photo below:

While this may seem random, it actually isn't as random as it seems! The host has been to the Twin Ports before thanks to his hit show that takes him all over the globe. In fact, he has been to the Northland several times before because we have so many delicious restaurants. Therefore, it is not out of the question that he did some shopping while in town.

The timing also makes sense. The crew at Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives was in town again last year filming for the show at popular spots like Gordy's Hi-Hat and Shorty's in Superior. Rumor has it that there will be an episode airing in the future that features a bunch of Northland restaurants that were previously featured.

The news that the crew was back in the Twin Ports broke over summer of 2020. At the time ,we didn't know exactly why he was here but rumor had it he was filming for one of his hit television shows again.

Those rumors turned out to be true, as several Northland favorites were featured on Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives over the summer. Shorty's in Superior, which closed earlier this year, was featured on the show at the end of March.

At the end of May, Gordy's Hi-Hat was featured on the show again. We knew this would happen eventually, as the restaurant hinted over the summer of 2020 that they were closed for a very fun reason, even sharing photos of a camera crew. Just writing about this makes me hungry.

All of this to say that Guy Fieri really seems to enjoy the Northland - for the food and the apparel, apparently! Come back soon, Guy.
