Growers Express has issued a voluntary recall on a bunch of their fresh vegetable products. The products may be contaminated with listeria.

The FDA issued a warning to the public on Monday, July 1st. According to their press release, the products impacted include "packaged varieties of butternut squash, cauliflower, zucchini and a butternut squashed based veggie bowl."

The products were made and shipped from Maine. So far, no one has reported getting sick from the products.

The FDA says the affected products have a 'Best If Used By' date between June 26th and June 29th. (To see a more detailed list, click the link above.)

A few other things to note:

  • All other Growers Express products are safe to eat.
  • All Green Giant canned or frozen vegetable products are also safe to eat and are not included in this recall.

There have been quite a few food recalls lately. In late June, Frito-Lay pulled a popular flavor of potato chips from shelves due to the possibility of milk contamination. RAGÚ also pulled a few of their flavors off the shelf after it was revealed the jars may contain plastic.
