Get A Sneak Peek At The Options For The Highway 53 Re-Route Project

Minnesota Department of Transportation officials are keeping the public informed of it's plans to re-route Highway 53 - near Virginia.  An Open House will be held on Thursday, November 15th - from 4PM to 7PM - at the Mountain Iron Community Center, during which the latest alternate routes will be presented.

MnDOT is relocating Highway 53 near Virginia due to a termination of easement rights.

No formal presentation will be held at the Open House - but attendees will be able to discuss the routes with project staff and leave comments.

Going to the Open House?  You'll find the Mountain Iron Community Center at 8586 Enterprise Drive South, in Mountain Iron - on the south side of Highway 169, between Mineral Avenue and Mud Lake Road.
