Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson dies in a car crash in Alabama on Sunday night. The Star Tribune reports that "the news was first reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, who received the information from Tennessee State University, where Jackson was the quarterbacks coach."

Jackson who was 36 years old played for the Minnesota Vikings from 2006-2010 went onto play for the Seattle Seahawks and the Buffalo Bills. Jackson was drafted in 2006 from Alabama starting his NFL career with the Minnesota Vikings and started 20 games in his career with the team.
