Duluth Announces Open Skate Program
Now that students are back and most of the school programs have started, The Summer Open Skate becomes the Fall Open Skate.
According to a press release, the City of Duluth Parks and Recreation in partnership with the Essentia Health Duluth Heritage Center has announced, starting tonight September 19, open skate runs from 6:30-8 pm every Wednesday, that school is in session.
This is part of the free healthy recreational opportunities offered through Duluth Parks and Recreation. The announcement said to watch for special skating parties to be announced that celebrate various holidays. This is a great opportunity for families to do something together and at a great price. People are reminded they will be skating at their own risk.
Open skate is free to all participants. Children under the age of 10 should be accompanied by an adult. Please bring your own skates as there are a limited number available for rent at no cost.
