Brrr! Northern Minnesota Town Sets New Daily Record Low
It shouldn't be a huge surprise that we are still seeing cold temperatures mid-April. This is just how things go in Northern Minnesota. Ha!
It was so brisk in the early hours of Wednesday (April 15th) that Hibbing set a new daily record low. WDIO Storm Team Meteorologist Taylor Dayton shared the news shortly after on his Twitter account. Here's what he had to say:
Brrrrrrr! As I mentioned, it shouldn't be too shocking that we saw single digits this late into the year but it still doesn't make the news any easier to take in. Ha!
This also isn't entirely shocking if you follow the predictions of the Old Farmer's Almanac. For the month of April, they predicted a wet one with periods of alternating rain and snow. The prediction also calls for a below average high temperature, meaning we can expect a cool month ahead for this time of year.
Hopefully things warm up soon since going outside seems to be our one way to break out of our houses these days!
