Bentleyville Asks Public For Help Clearing Paths After Blizzard
After the historic weekend blizzard that dropped nearly two feet of snow on Duluth, Bentleyville is in need of help from the public in order to open as soon as possible. The holiday attraction was closed on Saturday, during the peak of the storm and again on Sunday, saying they simply had "way too much snow to be open". Organizers have hopes of opening on Monday, but that snow that kept them closed on Sunday hasn't gone anywhere.
Because of this, Bentleyville has put out the call for volunteers, asking anyone available with plows, snowblowers, or shovels to help clear paths around the attraction. Staff will be on site all day at Bayfront Festival Park, so if you have time to help out, they would certainly appreciate whatever assistance they can get.
If they are not able to get the paths cleared before the attraction is scheduled to open at 5 pm tonight, they may need to stay closed yet another day, until paths are opened and passable. They will update the public later today with whether or not they will be open Monday.
