Back To School Fair Helps Get Supplies To Kids In Need

Thursday, August 22nd, The City Of Duluth will hold a Back to School fair put backpacks and school supplies into the hands of kids who need them.

Chum has been collecting supplies for this event through a backpack drive they have been holding through their website with dropoff points throughout the city.

There are 3 locations distributing the backpacks and supplies between noon to 4:00 p.m.

Here are the locations:

  • Central Hillside Community Center - 12 East 4th Street
  • Morgan Park Community Center - 1242 88th Avenue West
  • Portman Community Center - 4601 McCulloch Street

Also for ISD 709 public and charter school students:

  • Information booths
  • Resources
  • School lunch program registration

Please be prepared to show identification for each student requesting a backpack you can use any one of these identifications:

  • School ID
  • Social Security card
  • Medical card
  • Birth certificate
