It took me a long time to understand what Autism is, and now I am noticing television and the movies revealing characters with Autism. It is something that is hard to understand.

According to autismspeaks.org, To have Autism is to have difficulties in social interaction, verbal and nonverbal communication and repetitive behaviors. Now known as ASD, Autism spectrum disorder, used to describe in general terms a group of complex disorders of brain development.

ASD can be associated with intellectual disability, difficulties in motor coordination and attention and physical health issues such as sleep and gastrointestinal disturbances. Some persons with ASD excel in visual skills, music, math and art.
