Not only is soup good food - but apparently it raises a lot of money, too!  Officials with the Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank are thankful to Twin Ports residents who helped them raise $59,249 at the event that was held April 15th and 16th at The Depot.  That dollar amount translates into 242,000 meals for northland residents in need.

The annual Empty Bowl fundraiser to benefit Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank happens this Monday and Tuesday,  April 15th and 16th.  This years event is two days - with a sneak-peek Monday evening and the actual luncheon on Tuesday - at the Duluth Depot.

Bring your antique/collectible item to the St. Louis County Heritage & Arts Center (the Depot) for a free appraisal on Wednesday, April 17, 2013!  The St. Louis County Historical Society has arranged for Dan Sershon of Northland Estate Services and Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, both experts in antique appraisal, to be at your service from noon until 3 PM in the Great Hall.
