There are few things that divide people this time of year as much as two words: candy corn.

We're about to indulge our collective sweet tooth. It's just some of us will enjoy different treats to do so.

The whole reason I am writing this is I want to make a point, CHECK YOUR CANDY, CHECK YOUR KID'S CANDY!! It's sad that we have to do that but that is the reality of our times. I could go into a rant and say how it was in our day, but my Mom reminded me they had to check our candy too.

It seems now more than ever we  have access to a million types of candy, but some have lasted throughout the years and I feel the need to make some type of acknowledgement to their staying power.
