Cathy Kates

I have been working in the broadcasting industry in Northland radio for 16 years. My life has been an "open-book", sharing trials, tribulations and every day life experiences, because YOU are my friends. I have compassion for people and animals. That has lead me to be involved with many different non-profit agencies on a local and national level. I am a board member for the Northern Light's Foundation, an organization that grants money to families with children who have cancer or a catastrophic disease. For the past 13 years I have been on the Thanksgiving Day Buffet Committee, responsible for feeding over 3,000 needy families in the Northland, a full Thanksgiving meal at the local Convention Center. I don't limit my involvement to large non-profit organizations, I also attend the home-town meatball and spaghetti dinners and benefits. That's where my connection grows stronger with you on a face-to-face level, and we become family. I am also the Public Affairs Director for Townsquare Media, so if you have a benefit or non-profit event you would like on our Community Calendar, make sure to email me the information. Thanks for waking up with me every morning, I'm always here for you......always a phone call, or an email away.  Hugs!

St. Jude Radiothon Gives You the Once in a Lifetime Chance to Own an Autographed Guitar

Listen Wednesday and Thursday to hear songs of inspiration and stories from families that have benefited from the life saving research at St. Jude, the hospital without walls.  We call it a "hospital without walls" because they share their information around the world at no cost.  Children here in the Northland are being treated with protocol developed at St. Jude.
