The public has voted, and Starship is down for the count. Not one of my favorites, but I've heard worse.

In a poll conducted by Rolling Stone magazine to find the most atrocious track of the decade, the 1985 song co-written by Elton John lyricist Bernie Taupin came out top.

It was closely followed by Europe's 'The Final Countdown' and Chris De Burgh's slushy classic 'Lady In Red', with honourable mentions for Toni Basil's 'Mickey' and Wham!'s 'Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go'.
