It's a sure sing that Old Man Winter is on it's last days (or weeks);  St. Louis County has released their Spring Road Restrictions - which take effect on Tuesday, March 8.  Drivers who operate vehicles with an axle weight that's greater than 5 tons need to be in compliance while the postings are in place.

Details about zone boundaries and specific restrictions from the Minnesota Department of Transportation can be found by clicking here.

These road restrictions will be in place until further notice.  Weather and road conditions play a significant role in determining when  the county relaxes the restrictions - however, they are usually removed sometime in May.
