Could turning yourself  into a "hotspot" be the future? I think it's a great idea! It gives  people opportunity to make money, while delivering a much needed service to the public.  It's a no brainer.

Mark West is earning his living these days by being a human hotspot. Activists, though, are more likely to describe him as an exploited human.

West doesn’t care. Homeless for six months, the unemployed electrician is happy to work the crowds at the South by Southwest festival.

Standing in front of the Austin Convention Center, surrounded by throngs of revelers, West, 44, calls out: “Hotspot! Hotspot! Wireless connection! 4G! Need to get online? I’m your guy!”
