Perhaps they should have compared notes.  A summer bridge project on Highway 23 at the St. Louis River in Fond du Lac will impact one of the detour routes for the Oliver Bridge - which is closed during the daytime hours this summer for its own road work.

Starting Monday, May 2 - crews from the Minnesota Department of Transportation will begin a major repair project on the Highway 23 St. Louis River Bridge.  A temorary signal system will be in place, as the roadway is reduced to one single lane across the bridge.

Workers will be installing new rails, lighting, expansion joints, improving drainage, and performing a concrete overlay.
