A project to replace the dynamic message signs along the I-35 corridor in Duluth will result in closures to the freeway, July 9 through July 12.  According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, work crews will be on scene during the evening and overnight hours to better accommodate traffic.

Here are the details:

  • July 9 and July 11 - between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM, drivers can expect single lane closures for both northbound and southbound traffic near the Garfield Overpass.  The northbound Highway 535 Ramp will also be closed from 8:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
  • July 10 - between 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM, drivers can expect a closure on the southbound I-35 lanes to the south of the 21st Avenue E interchange.  Traffic though that area will be detoured onto London Road and Superior Street.
